In the November 6 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 87 new cases of the virus in the province.
The Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory experienced technical difficulties on Tuesday with the validation of COVID-19 tests, resulting in 9 confirmed cases included in today's case total.
Of those 87 new cases there are 8 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North East zone, 8 in the North West zone, 3 in the North Central zone, 25 in the Saskatoon zone, 11 in the Central East zone, 20 in the Regina zone, 1 in the South West zone, 2 in the South Central zone, and 5 in the South East zone. Location is pending for three new cases.
Five cases with pending residence location from November 4 were assigned to the North Central zone.
That brings the provincial number of COVID-19 cases to 3,623, of which 911 are considered active.
There are 3 active cases in the South West zone.
There is 53 more recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 2,687.
There are 33 people in hospital. Twenty-nine people are receiving inpatient care - 1 in the Far North West zone, 3 in the North West zone, 8 in the North Central zone, 10 in the Saskatoon zone, and 7 in the Regina zone.
Four people are in intensive care - 1 in the North Central zone, 2 in Saskatoon, and 1 in Regina.
There have been 25 deaths related to COVID-19 so far .
To date, there have been 275,737 COVID-19 tests performed in Saskatchewan.
And yesterday, there were 2,217 COVID-19 tests done.
