In the October 15 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority, there are 33 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 33 new cases, there are 3 in the Far North West, 2 in the Far North East, 2 in the North Central, 2 in the North East, 8 in Saskatoon, 8 in the Central East, 7 in Regina, and 1 in the South Central zones. One case still has their location pending.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 2,232, of which 271 are considered active.

There is currently 1 active case in the South West zone.

There were 16 more recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 1,936.

There are eight people in hospital. Six people are receiving inpatient care-4 in Saskatoon, one in the North West zone, and 1 in the North Central zone. Two people are in intensive care, 1 in Saskatoon and 1 in Regina.

There have been 25 deaths related to COVID-19 in the province.

To date, 222,964 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 2,305 COVID-19 tests done.

The weekly report on numbers of cases in youth, for children aged 0-19 is available.

For the week of  October 5-11 there were a provincial total of 31 cases in children in the province.

Of these 31 cases, there is 1 in the Far North West region, 1 in the Far North East region, 3 in the North West region, 6 in the North Central region, 4 in the Central East region, 6 in the Saskatoon region, 7 in the Regina region, and 2 in the South East region.
