Ten Swift Current Minor Football players helped their respective Sask Selects squads win the Battle on the Prairies this past weekend in Moose Jaw.

Seven of the players suited up for the Sask Selects 14U team that beat the Alberta Golden Bears 28-0 in the championship on Sunday afternoon. Swift Current's Jackson Gording-Dovell forced a bad throw that was intercepted leading to the 14U's first score of the game. 

Ashton Peebels, Chase Auseth, Jake Woods Colton Hurl, Clay Franklin, Jackson Gording-Dovel, and Cooper Telke were on the 14U Selects.

The remaining three played for the Sask Selects Varsity Red team that beat the Alberta Golden Bears 21-0 yesterday afternoon. Parker Robertson, Austin Bidwell, and Maddex Gording-Dovel played for the championship team.

Three locals suited up for the 12U Sask Selects that fell in the finals to the Airdrie Eclipse 26-20. Jayce Dale, Laim Jacobson, and Gull Lake's Rolken Kirwan.

And five Swift Current players, Cade Napper, Chase Greco, Landon Benjamin, Gib Griffin, and Jamie Robertson aided the 13U Sask Selects to a 21-20 win on the consolation side over the Boston Rebels. Robertson helped the Selects seal the win with an interception at the end of the game.

Swift Current sent 30 players to the four-day tournament.
