The SWT U13 AA Broncos will look to bring a provincial championship back to Swift Current as they head to Warman to start a best-of-three series against the Wildcats tonight.

The Broncos earned the best regular season record in the South Division at 20-2-2, and following a first-round bye in the playoffs, won a three-game series against the Regina Buffalos before sweeping Yorkton in the South Final. Warman, meanwhile, were the top team in the North Division and are coming off playoff series wins over the North West Stars and Saskatoon Fury.

Game two of the series is on Friday at 5:00 p.m. from S3 Arenas with game three, if needed, in Warman on Sunday.

Matthews hits new franchise record as Leafs beat Panthers

Auston Matthews scored his 61st and 62nd goals of the season as the Toronto Maple Leafs picked up a 6-4 win over the Florida Panthers in Monday's NHL action. Matthews set a new franchise record for goals in a season, breaking his own mark of 60 goals in 2021-22.

Meanwhile, Cole Perfetti had two goals and an assist as the Winnipeg Jets snapped a six-game losing skid with a 4-3 win over the LA Kings, and Brandon Saad scored in overtime to lift the St. Louis Blues to a 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

Tonight, Montreal hosts Florida, Ottawa visits Minnesota, Calgary hosts Anaheim and Vancouver travels to Vegas.

Jays' bats stymied as Blanco gets first no-no of season

Ronel Blanco threw the first no-hitter of the MLB season as the Houston Astros blanked the Toronto Blue Jays 10-0. Blanco struck out seven batters and walked two.

The Jays continue the three-game set tonight with Jose Berrios on the mound.

Gushue picks up early-morning win over New Zealand at World Men's Curling

Brad Gushue and Team Canada picked up a 7-4 win over New Zealand overnight to move to 4-1 at the World Men’s Curling Championship in Switzerland.

Gushue started the event with an unbeaten record before falling 7-6 in an extra end to Joel Retornaz and his top-ranked Italian rink on Monday. It was Italy's first win over Canada at the World Men's since 1986.

Canada will face John Schuster and Team USA later this morning.
