U18 Broncos

Carter Tuplin and Brett Stusrud helped the Southwest Sports Excellence U18 AA Broncos pull off a three-goal comeback in the third and final game of their first-round series on Saturday to advance.

Tuplin had four points including a hat-trick while Stusrud had two goals in the 5-4 win over the Estevan Bruins.

Swift Current will play the fourth-ranked Regina Rangers in the second round.

U15 Broncos

Kasey Gleim scored two overtime winners including the series clincher for the Swift Current Pure Chem U15 AA Broncos over the weekend.

Gleim struck with 2:04 remaining in the second overtime today lifting the Pure Chem Broncos past the Sask East Oilers 6-5 completing the two-game sweep. Carter Moen led the way offensively with two goals and two assists.

His other overtime tally came on Friday night in Gull Lake with 7:23 remaining in the second overtime lifting Swift Current by the Oilers 4-3 in game one. Hunter Wilm and Jamie Kirwan both had three points in the victory.

The Pure Chem Broncos will play the Regina Pat Blues for a berth in the Provincial Finals.

U13 Broncos

The Swift Current SWT U13 AA Broncos will have to wait until Tuesday night in hopes of punching their ticket to the South Division Finals in a winner-take-all game three.

Linden Spasoff stopped all 31 shots Saturday to lead the Regina Buffaloes to a 2-0 game two-win at home extending the best-of-three series.

Game three is set for 6:45 p.m. at the S3 East Arena.
