The Swift Current Online Weekend Poll results are in, and half of the respondents report that they are in favour of a mandatory masking policy.

As mentioned on Friday, as more Canadian Cities begin the process of making masks mandatory in public buildings, the conversation about their efficacy has become heated, with those against their use holding small protests in both Saskatoon and Regina in recent days.

It would seem that residents in the southwest are more accepting of such measures, as 49.4 percent of the 2300 respondents say that masks should be required, with a further 21 percent saying that while they remained undecided, they would wear one if it was mandated.

28 percent disagree; saying that masks should not be mandatory.
