The WHL announced this afternoon that Swift Current Broncos Head Coach Devan Praught has been suspended for five games.

Praught, in his third year as a Broncos coach, was handed an indefinite suspension on November 14 following an on-ice practice incident the day prior.

According to the WHL's Security Network and the league, the Summerside P.E.I. native violated the WHL Standards of Conduct on November 13.

Praught has already served three games of his suspension and will be eligible to return on November 29 when the Broncos host the Medicine Hat Tigers.

The Swift Current-based WHL team said in their own statement today that they've accepted the sanctions from the league and are now conducting their own review of Hockey Operations within its organization.

"At this point, there will be no further comment on the matter," the Broncos statement said.

The Broncos will clash with the Warriors tomorrow night in Moose Jaw.
