The Swift Current Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats dropped a 4-2 decision to the Saskatoon Stars on Saturday at Merlis Belsher Place.

After a scoreless first period, Saskatoon picked up three unanswered goals from Peyton Gabruck, Kelsey Ledoux and Shayla Koroll to go up 3-0 after the second period. Alexie Palchinski and Raela Packet cut the Wildcats' deficit to 3-2 by the midway point of the third, but Ledoux scored her second of the game on the power play to give the Stars their two-goal lead back with 8:44 left in the game.

Paige Fischer made 39 saves for the Wildcats, who were outshot 43-18.

The Wildcats (7-14-1-3) take on the Stars again Sunday afternoon in Saskatoon.
