The Swift Current Innovation Credit Union U18 AAA Wildcats dropped a 5-3 decision to the league-leading Regina Rebels on Wednesday night in the Queen City.

Calla Kampen opened the scoring for Swift Current at 5:11 of the first period before Berlin Lolacher tied it up for Regina with 4:34 left in the opening frame. Jerzey Watteyne and Caitlyn Perlinger scored in the second period to give Swift Current a 3-1 lead after 40 minutes, but the Rebels scored four unanswered goals in the third with Lolacher, Ashley Grice and Stryker Zablocki scoring three nearly three minutes apart early in the period, and Lolacher completing the hat trick with an empty-netter with 15 seconds left.

Addison Eurich had two assists for the Wildcats and Olivia Kirwan and Caybri Dejong added helpers. Paige Fischer made 28 saves as Regina outshot Swift Current 32-19.

The Wildcats (15-9-4-0) wrap up their regular season schedule with a pair of home games against Weyburn this weekend.

U13 AA Wildcats doubled up in Lumsden

The WW Smith U13 AA Wildcats dropped a 6-3 decision to the Lumsden/Bethune Lynx on the road Thursday night. Laynee Rondeau, Piper Arntsen and Capri Darby had the goals for Swift Current, who will finish the regular season with a pair of home games against Weyburn this weekend.
