The Swift Current Innovation Federal Credit Union U18 AAA Wildcats edged the Saskatoon Stars 3-2 in a neutral site game at Rosetown's AGT Centre on Saturday night.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead after 40 minutes on a power play goal from Alexa Kobley and even strength markers from Dior Stringer and Evangeline Hill. The Stars mounted a comeback in the third period with goals from Ireland Stein and Halle Duchene, but Swift Current would hold on for the victory.

Rosetown's Paige Fischer made 30 saves for the win in her hometown rink as the Stars outshot the Wildcats 32-22.

The Wildcats (5-5-1-2) return to Swift Current to face the Stars Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm from S3 Arenas.
