Although their spot in Western's is already secured, the Kabos Bantam 'AA' Broncos will look to begin their league final on the right foot.

The Broncos will host the Sask Valley Vipers in game one of the best of three Saskatchewan Bantam 'AA' League championship series Wednesday night from the Fairview Arenas.

With Sask Valley being the host team of this years Western's, the Broncos are automatically the Saskatchewan representative for the tournament.

Prior to looking forward to Western's though, Swift Current's, along with Sask Valley's focus will be on the SBAAHL Final.

Entering the best of three series, the Broncos and Vipers match-up evenly.

The South Division champion Broncos finished the regular season with a slightly better record, recording 45 points, while the North Division champion Vipers finished the season with 40.

Despite the standings, it is worth noting that the North Division combined for 58 more points than the South did this season.

In their only meeting of the season, which came back on September 24, 2016, the Vipers scored a 4-1 victory over Swift Current.

The Broncos will enter the series with the top two scores among the two teams during the regular season.

Broncos forward Reed Jacobson finished the season with 70 points, while Riley Dekowny had 56.

Sask Valley's leading scorer, Josh Pillar put up 54 points over the year.

In net for Swift Current, Jacob Herman has started six of their eight playoff games, posting GAA of 1.87 and a 5-1 record.

For the Vipers, Matt Hennessey has been the starter for six of their eight games as well.

In those contests, Hennessey has a GAA of 2.31 and a 5-1 record.

Both goalies have recorded one shutout so far in the playoffs.
