The rollout of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is continuing to roll out to health care workers in Regina and Saskatoon.  

As of January 3, 2020, 3,866 doses have been administered.

4,900 of the new Moderna vaccine is arriving in the Far North regions next week, where they will begin rolling out to priority populations in the Far North Central and Far North West areas.

Meanwhile, there were 238 new cases reported of the COVID-19 virus, bringing the provincial total to 16,083 with 2,841 considered active.

There were 109 recoveries and no deaths to report.

Most of the active cases remain in the two largest urban centres of Saskatoon and Regina, as well as the Far North and North regions of the province.

Here in the southwest, there was 1 new case, this one in the southwest #2 sub-zone which includes Swift Current.

That brings the total number of active cases in the southwest to 12.
