Laura & Derek Gloster saw a need in the community 7 years ago as they felt nothing was happening to assist the Kinsmen Telemiracle from the Pontiex region.

They organized a Glow Bowl Night, that year, at the local bowling alley, and it has been an annual event ever since.

Laura Gloster tells how the event has been received by Pontiex and the surrounding area.

Gloster said, "It went very good. This is our 7th year and in the past six year's we have raised over $13,000. We do a bingo bowling style and teams come. We have a raffle table and a 50/50 and a bar."

Over 70 bowlers attended this year's event with some dressing up in interesting attire to add to the special effects of glow bowling.

Fun and raising money was the focus of the evening. This year raise over $2,000 to bring the 7 year total to over $16,000.

With bowlers and spectators, there were well over 100 people at this community event.

Gloster says there is room for more so everyone is invited to come out next year.
