The Shaunavon Legion has reached a critical point in its survival.

The organization is looking for area residents to step up and help, as Brenda Waldron from the Legion explains.."We're reaching out for members to come to the meeting in June. We need to set up a new Poppy Campaign Committee..a minimum of four people to stand up and say we can do this. Honestly, if we don't have a new Committee formed by the end of June, there's a really good chance there won't be Poppy anything this fall."

The Legion meeting will be held on Monday June 11th at seven thirty p.m. in the Legion Club Room. That is the room in the basement, using the east door.

Waldron adds this could also mean that the Legion itself could close. They are down to 45 members and need more people to step up and help.

The organization is looking for current members to help out, however anyone can volunteer. You don't have to be a member, or join the Legion, to volunteer.

Current members are also reminded to see Carol at the Drug Store in Shaunavon to pick up their tickets.
