Garret Robinson is in critical condition at Regina General Hospital.

He had emergency surgery yesterday.

18-year-old Garret Robinson and two teammates were involved in a two vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

It happened at 6:41am minutes after the Warrior’s bus arrived home from a three game road trip. Joey Perricone, Carter Smith and Robinson were on their way to their homes when their car was broadsided by a pick up truck at the corner of Caribou Street and 4th NorthWest. The car ended up a full half-block south and in the front yard of a Hochelaga Street home. The Jaws of Life was needed to free them.

Robinson suffered severe head trauma. His parents are with him. They arrived from Surrey B.C. yesterday afternoon.

Joey Perricone and Carter Smith were both treated and released.

The driver of the truck suffered only minor injuries. Police believe alcohol was a factor.

Charges against the driver of the truck are pending.
