The Swift Current Comprehensive High School Ardens earned a fourth-place finish at SHSAA 5A Girls' Soccer Provincials in Yorkton on the weekend.

Swift Current opened with a 1-0 win over Regina's Winston Knoll Collegiate on Friday before falling 4-0 to Saskatoon Holy Cross in the semi-final. In the bronze medal game on Saturday, the Ardens dropped a close 1-0 decision to the hosts from Yorkton Regional High School. St. Joseph defeated Holy Cross 4-2 in an all-Saskatoon final.

In Boys' 5A Soccer Provincials in Saskatoon, the SCCHS Colts fell 3-0 to Regina's Campbell Collegiate in their opening game, and then dropped a 4-0 decision to Prince Albert St. Mary in the consolation bracket. Holy Cross defeated Saskatoon Centennial 2-1 in another all-Bridge City final.

Shadows advance to provincial 9-man football semi-final

In nine-man football, the Shaunavon Shadows earned a 26-6 win over Indian Head on Saturday in Fort Qu'Appelle to punch their ticket to the provincial 4A semi-final, where they'll host Melfort on Saturday, November 4, at 1:00pm.
