For the first time this season, a Roughrider has picked up one of four weekly CFL awards.

Michael Bishop has been named the CFL's Offensive Player of the Week for his role in leading the Riders from behind to down Winnipeg on Sunday.

Bishop passed for 370 yards and 3 touchdowns while going 24 for 30 in pass attempts.  He also rushed for 56 yards.

Bishop says the award should be shared.  "The O-line did a great job giving me an opportunity to stay in the pocket and get the ball downfield.  The guys catching the ball did a great job also.  The Player of the Week, it's not just for me but for the whole offense."

The Riders continue to prepare for the BC Lions, who they meet Saturday in Vancouver.
