After 60 minutes of regulation and five minutes of overtime the Swift Current Broncos and Saskatoon Blades headed to a shootout last night.
After the Blades Benson scored Bronco Coda Gordon would be stopped by Andrey Makarov and Swift Current would suffer a 4-3 loss to Saskatoon.
Gordon was one of three seperate Bronco goal scorers during regulation. Brad Hoban and Levi Bews also found the back of the net for Swift Current.
Bronco netminder Austin Smith would make 41 saves in the loss earning him the games' First Star.
While Swift Current did pick up a point in the win the Brandon Wheat Kings, who they're chasing for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, earned two as they beat regina 3-2.
The Broncos have 17 games left to bridge an 11 point gap. They face the Wheat Kings in Brandon tomorrow night.
