The Swift Current Broncos start a home-and-home with the Medicine Hat Tigers tonight at Innovationplex with a chance to move closer to their Trans-Canada Highway rivals as the push for the playoffs continues.

The Broncos are on a four-game winning streak and are six points behind the Tigers for the Central Division lead and second place in the Eastern Conference standings.

"I think we continue the approach we've had for the last four or five games," said Broncos captain Owen Pickering. "Obviously we had a big win on the weekend against Moose Jaw where we felt our process came together and it's something that we're going to continue into the weekend.

"I think our group is coming together at just the right time," Pickering added. "We're having a lot of fun. It's nice to get a buzz in the town and we want people to know that it's real and we're excited to play at home and it gives us an advantage."

The Broncos will be sporting a new look on the ice tonight for their second-annual Nickelodeon night presented by RE/MAX. This year, the Broncos will be wearing special Blue's Clues & You! themed jerseys that will be auctioned off to support the Children's Miracle Network and the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital in Saskatoon.

"I know my billet kids love Blue's Clues, so they're going to love the jerseys and I know all the kids will, too." Pickering said. "A lot of the boys that grew up watching Blue's Clues, it's kind of a full circle moment."

Last season, the Broncos wore Spongebob Squarepants themed jerseys for Nickelodeon night and Pickering talked about an interesting experience in that game.

"My jersey ripped at the end of the game," he said. "I was in a scrum with three seconds left and it just ripped down the middle. We were a little worried about the auction, but the gentleman who ended up buying it wanted to keep it that way."

Tonight's game starts at 7:00pm from Innovationplex and Saturday's game from Medicine Hat's Co-op Place will begin at 8:00pm CST. Both games can be heard on Country 94.1 with Redhead Equipment Case IH Broncos Hockey starting 15 minutes before face-off.
