The Swift Current Broncos were handed their third loss in a row last night, losing 3-2 to the Vancouver Giants in their first home game after returning from a two-week US swing.

Vancouver jumped out to a 3-1 lead by the third period on a pair of goals by Cain Franson and another by Jordan Martinook, with Brad Hoban scoring his ninth of the season for the Broncos. Graham Black got the Broncos within one midway through the third with his 10th of the season, but that was as close as they could get.

The Broncos were held to just four shots on goal over the first 30 minutes of the game, and ended up being outshot 32-21. Jon Groenhyde made 29 saves for the Broncos while Adam Morrison stopped 19 shots in the Giants net.

The Broncos (11-16-2-1, 5th in East Division) return to action tonight when they host the Kootenay Ice (19-7-1-2, 1st in Central Division). You can hear the game on the Eagle 94.1, with the pre-game show starting at 6:30pm, and the face-off from the Credit Union iplex is at 7:05pm.
