With Valentine's Day coming up this weekend on Sunday, the Saskatchewan Health Authority wants residents to know that you can show people you love how much you care this year by keeping them safe from COVID-19.

Public Health does not recommend sharing of gifts, chocolates, or food in schools and at workplaces.

If you are sharing Valentine's Day with close friends or loved ones, give only individually-wrapped unopened store-bought treats and if you're sharing cards, be sure to set them aside for 24 hours before handling.

If you're planning a date with your special someone consider staying in with some take-out if you live in the same home. If you're meeting outside your safe household, be sure to follow the guidelines for restaurants and other venues.

The best thing you can do this Valentine's Day is to share your love virtually. Call, send a text or have a virtual date with the ones you love.
