Last night was a blast as the Golden West Broadcasting crew came out to promote Country 94.1 at the Broncos game.

The InnovationPlex was the place to be for anyone looking for a chance to win a Country 94.1 Woods bucket cooler from Canadian Tire. The free sign-up table was packed with folks looking to win, and they all got to walk away with a little something promoting the newest station in Swift Current.

Sign ups were free, with bags and window clings being given to everyone who swung by the table. Sign ups were free, with bags and window clings being given to everyone who swung by the table.

During the first intermission, after the Broncos scored three goals in the first period against the Medicine Hat Tigers, Golden West took to the ice. Announcing the coming giveaway, and promoting Country 94.1 was Station Manager Morgan Butler.

"We are a sponsor of tonight's game, so we had some swag to give away," said Butler. "We had our had our shot at the t-shirt guns during intermission. That was lots of fun."

The Broncos fought through a resurging Medicine Hat team and put on a great bit of defence as they battled tough calls by the referees.

In the second intermission, Butler and the rest of the team from Golden West went back out onto the ice to announce that Brad Dickie from Pennant had won the cooler!

By the end of the game, the Broncos had won 5-3, sending the Trans-Canada rivals packing back to the Alberta side of the border.

For Kevin Simpson, the executive vice president of the Swift Current Broncos, the fun and the merchandise given away was a good addition to the night.

"Absolutely! Country 94.1 is a great partner of the team," said Simpson. "It's great to have you guys in doing some cross-promoting and promoting the new station. It adds a lot of excitement for our fans blasting some T-shirts into the crowd tonight."

With a win for the Broncos and a win for Country 94.1, the night laid a foundation for future promotions that folks can stay tuned in to hear more about in the weeks ahead.
