Father’s Day in Pennant saw collection of classic and modern vehicles for the Cruisin’ the 32 Car Show and convoy.

Cruisin’ the 32 brought out an array of vehicles from 60-year-old grain trucks to brand new Ford Mustangs, and many curiosities in between. One proud driver, Verral Scriven was happy to talk about his vehicle.

“It's a 1981 dodge half ton short wheelbase, bighorn addition. It's very rare, actually. The Big Horn was a one year only option,” said Scriven, explaining that his vehicle was a good combination of both speed and subtlety.

Jason Dowdeswell, the organizer of Cruisin’ the 32, has been putting it on for four years now.

“It was 2021, right after COVID restrictions, we had our first because everyone wanted to get out of the house and do things,” stated Dowdeswell. “We decided to organize this to get people out in the public again and have fun.”

Dowdeswell stated that windy, wet weather has been an issue for the past two years, but he was pleased by the attendance.

“It's surprising, there were quite a few people who came out to have good food at the hotel, and visit and see the cars,” said Dowdeswell. “We drive to Cabri and around to the hospital and the old folks home there and come back to Pennant.”
