The Fairview West Area should be a bit comfier for fans this upcoming season.

Earlier this week, the city of Swift Current finished installing 46-seats from Regina's Globe Theatre inside the south side facility.

"It's always been kind of a project that we've always had on the back burner but never really wanted to invest," Chris Pool, the facilities manager for the city of Swift Current, said. "That's probably a $10,000 project to do seating in there, so it really isn't an option to put the seats in. So when this came about, it worked out."

The seats were given to the City at no cost by a contractor and other than just city labour costs to install them, it didn't cost the taxpayers anything.

"If people like them and they work well for viewing, we'll add the next two rows next summer," he said.

Pool added the facilities seating capacity was unchanged by adding the old theatre seats.
