On Friday night the City of Swift Current Fire Department responded to a fire, and while the two occupants were unconscious when the firefighters arrived, the pair were released without injuries after being assessed.

The fire department was dispatched after alarms were ringing at a private residence in Swift Current. The firefighters noticed there was smoke in the building, did a primary search, and removed the occupants - a male and a female. Meanwhile, the fire was extinguished.

Swift Current Ambulance staff assessed the occupants and determined there were no injuries.

According to a police report by the Swift Current City RCMP, a pan left on the stove had started to burn.
