Former fan-favourite and WHL champion Swift Current Broncos netminder Joel Hofer helped backstop his Portland Winterhawks to the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy as the 2019-20 WHL Regular Season Champions.

The Winterhawks tallied 97 points in 63 games, working a 45-11-3-4 record before the remainder of the regular season was cancelled. They narrowly held off the surging Everett Silvertips, who went on a tear late to finish with 96 points (46-13-3-1) over that same 63-game sample size.

Hofer had 48 appearances in the crease for Portland this year - his first full campaign in the Pacific Northwest after a mid-season trade from the Broncos last year.

The towering 6-foot-5 'tender amassed a 34-8-3-2 record while posting a 2.49 goals-against-average and .915 save-percentage, adding in four shutouts. His GAA ranked seventh-best in the league among goalies with 10 or more starts, while his save-% was 11th-highest among that same group. Hofer's shutouts were tied for fourth most.
