The first player to lift the Ed Chynoweth Cup in 2018 for the Swift Current Broncos will play in his first NHL game tonight.

Former Broncos captain (2016-17 to 2017-18) Glenn Gawdin will draw into the lineup for the Calgary Flames against the Edmonton Oilers.

He's slated to play on the team's fourth line between Joakim Nordstrom and Buddy Robinson.

Gawdin logged 312 regular-season games in a Swift Current uniform and racked up 313 points during that time.

He's the fourth member from the Broncos club that won the Ed Chynoweth Cup in 2018 to make it to the NHL, joining Beck Malenstyn, Aleksi Heponiemi, and Stuart Skinner.
