The total number of presumptive cases of COVID-19 is now up to six, though none have come to the southwest just yet.

The four new cases announced late yesterday are all between the ages of 20 and 50.

The first is a health care worker in their 30s is from northern Saskatchewan. they have reportedly had a recent travel history to Nigeria, Germany and Alberta.

The remaining cases are all in Regina.

Two are a couple in their 40s who live in the same household. One recently travelled to a dental conference in Vancouver where an attendee was later confirmed to have COVID-19.

The fourth is a younger man in his 20s who has a history of travel to and from the United States.

All cases are self-isolating in their homes while they recover.

Public Health officials are following up with any individuals who have had close contact with any of these cases and who therefore may be at risk.

In the meantime, they are urging the public to review their recently released guidelines for travellers, and have updated rules regarding people returning to Saskatchewan from International destinations.

Effective immediately, all travellers returning from international destinations, including the United States, are to self-isolate and monitor their health for 14 days regardless if they show any symptoms. Travellers arriving from within Canada need only self-monitor with no self-isolation needed at this time.

As well, any members of the public who have travelled outside of Saskatchewan in the previous 14 days are to avoid visiting hospitals or long-term care facilities.
