Curlers in Gull Lake and the surrounding area can celebrate some upgraded tach at the local ice sheets.

The Gull Lake and District Curling Club has been gifted $7,560 from the BASF Canada Agricultural Solutions community donations program. This money has been used by the local curling club to purchase monitor and camera upgrades for their rink, allowing for a better curling experience.

Tabitha Boot, head of communications and industry relations for BASF Canada's agricultural solutions, expressed that this donation is something BASF Canada likes to indulge in, as it supports their client base interests.

"We were made aware of an opportunity to support the Gull Lake and District Curling Rink," said Boot. "We thought this was a really phenomenal way to support the residents within the area and the number of farmers that also call the area home."

BASF understands that the curling rink is often a major community hob in rural areas. By helping get things in tip-top shape and upgrading the experience, they are encouraging their clientele to continue to partake in the community.

"That was our goal," said Boot. "We provided the funds and then the group was able to best allocate them for the way that the curling rink could utilize the money to host tournaments and activities."

BASF Canada is a part of the international BASF brand. Originating in Germany, the chemical retailer helps provide agricultural solutions involving their range of products, ensuring that farmers have easy access to the resources they need to make good yields.

"We're supporting farmers with crop input tools and products like InVigor hybrid canola seed crop products and digital farming tools so that they can make the most of every acre," said Boot.
