A 6-man football offensive showdown didn't disappoint yesterday in Gull Lake between the Lions (4-1) and visiting Caronport Cougars (4-1).

143 total points were put on the board, as the Lions out-gunned Caronport 80-63.

With the win, the Lions move into first place in the conference over previously-unbeaten Caronport, as Gull Lake has outscored opponents 292-169, while Caronport has outscored teams 252-203.

In the two teams' first meeting of the season on September 15, Caronport topped Gull Lake in an equally-thrilling 51-44 game.

Gull Lake concludes their 2017 regular season on October 13 when they're in Outlook to take on the LCBI Bisons.
