A local golfer carded his second career hole-in-one on Saturday and this time it came with a hefty cash prize.

Kerry Ford used an 8 iron to sink the 150-yard shot at the Sask. Landing Golf Resort's Urban Cellars Tournament of Aces on hole 6 to win $15,000.

"It was a little windy that day," he recalled. "Hit the shot, took a nice bounce on the front of the green and kept rolling and we all watched it drop, kind of looked at each other in disbelief."

The tournament had a $5,000 payout for the first hole-in-one of the day and an additional $10,000 prize for a hole-in-one on hole 6.

"The funny thing is, I didn't realize that was the $10,000 hole," he said. "I didn't realize until after it went in and the hole sitter said, 'I think that was worth $15,000.'"

Ford's other hole-in-one came on the same hole at Sask. Landing Golf Resort five years ago.

"It was playing 185 yards the first time and 150 this time, a little different," he said.
