Kenny Jinks struck out a WCBL career-high 18 batters and allowed three hits and one earned run over eight innings as the Swift Current 57's beat the Moose Jaw Miller Express 5-1 on Friday night at Mitchell Field.

Swift Current broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the fifth when Kai Gray hit a two-run single before Austin Gurney drove in a run on a groundout to put Moose Jaw on the board in the top of the sixth. Cullen Verville then hit an RBI single to bring home Demetrio Archuleta in the bottom of the sixth, and Archuleta and Marcus Graham each hit RBI singles to wrap up the scoring in the seventh.

Jaylen Gutierrez struck out the three batters he faced in the ninth to seal the victory and snap a six-game losing streak for the 57's. Cameron Dunn struck out five and allowed two earned runs and five hits as he took the loss.

The 57's (2-6) face the Millers again at Ross Wells Park on Saturday.
