Both of Swift Current's U18 AA teams have home games tonight with the Home Hardware Legionnaires hosting the Moose Jaw WINMAR Warriors for an 8:00pm face-off at Innovationplex.

The Legionnaires are coming off a split against the Warman Wildcats and sit third in the league standings, six points back of the first-place Saskatoon Blazers.

Meanwhile, the Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats welcome the Notre Dame Hounds to S3 Arenas tonight at 8:00pm. The Wildcats split the Weyburn Gold Wings at home on the weekend and could tie the Hounds for third place in the league standings with a regulation win tonight.

Canucks maintain league lead after win, Jets loss

Quinn Hughes and Pius Suter scored as the Vancouver Canucks blanked the Chicago Blackhawks 2-0 on Monday night at Rogers Arena. Thatcher Demko made 31 saves for his fifth shutout of the season that helped the Canucks maintain their lead on top of the NHL overall standings.

Another matchup between two top teams in the league had the Boston Bruins beating the Winnipeg Jets 4-1. Charlie Coyle had a goal and an assist and Jakub Lauko, Jake DeBrusk and Brad Marchand also scored for the Bruins. Vladislav Namestnikov had the lone goal for the Jets, who saw their streak of 34 straight games allowing three or fewer goals come to an end.

There are nine games in the NHL tonight including the Edmonton Oilers looking for a 14th straight victory when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets. Elsewhere, Montreal hosts Ottawa and Calgary welcomes St. Louis. Toronto visits Ottawa in the lone PWHL game tonight.

Grizzlies beat slumping Raptors

Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 27 points and Luke Kennard added 19 as the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Toronto Raptors 108-100 to win their fourth-straight game in Canada. RJ Barrett scored 29 points for the Raptors while Scottie Barnes added 22 points.

Riders lock up Lauther

The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed veteran Canadian kicker Brett Lauther to a three-year contract extension on Monday.

Lauther, who was set to become a free agent on February 13, is entering his sixth season with the Green and White. Lauther has made 84% of his field goal attempts over the last five seasons and was named the team's Top Canadian in 2018.
