The Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires dropped a 5-1 decision to the Warman Wildcats in game three of their first-round playoff series Tuesday night at InnovationPlex.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 4-0 lead by the midway point of the second period on two goals from Tylan Henrikson and markers from Deegan Wapass and Carsen Adair. Brendan Quinn-Lagria got the Legionnaires on the board in the second period, but Warman wrapped up the scoring with a goal from Kazden Mathies midway through the third. Berney Weston made 27 saves in the loss as Swift Current outshot Warman 34-32.

The Legionnaires lead the best-of-five series 2-1 and can still move on to the league semi-final with a win in game four Thursday night in Warman. Game five, if needed, will be in Swift Current on Saturday.

U15 Broncos open playoffs with win

The Pure Chem U15 AA Broncos beat the Prairie Storm 4-1 in the opening game of their first-round playoff series on Tuesday at S3 Arenas. Chase Petersen had a natural hat trick in the third period and Griffin Darby also scored for the Broncos, who can advance to the next round with a win in Balgonie on Friday. Game three, if necessary, will be in Swift Current on Sunday.

The female U18 A Southwest Cyclones host Milestone in game two of the south semi-final tonight in Gull Lake. Milestone leads the best-of-three series 1-0 after a 3-0 home win on Monday. Game three, if needed, will be in Milestone on Sunday.
