The Home Hardware Legionnaires will start a home-and-home set with the Regina Pat Canadians tonight in the Queen City. 

The Legionnaires are in a three-way tie with the Pat-C's and the Warman Wildcats for second place in the league standings, four points back of the first-place Saskatoon Blazers. 

The return game is on Thursday night at 7:15pm from Innovationplex. 

Three games in the WHL tonight including the Lethbridge Hurricanes hosting the Edmonton Oil Kings in a Central Division matchup. Also, Seattle welcomes Prince George and Spokane entertains Everett. The Swift Current Broncos host the Hurricanes in their next game on Wednesday night.

Giroux gets OT winner as Sens rally to beat Preds

Claude Giroux's goal at 3:36 of overtime helped the Ottawa Senators to a come-from-behind 4-3 win over the Nashville Predators in the lone NHL game on Monday night. Drake Batherson, Tim Stutzle and Brady Tkachuk scored for the Senators in regulation as they rallied from a 3-0 deficit after the first period.

Just two games tonight have the St. Louis Blues looking to extend their winning streak to six games when they host the Columbis Blue Jackets, while the San Jose Sharks welcome the Seattle Kraken.

Riders sign two Americans

The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed American defensive back CJ Coldon on Monday. 

Coldon made 42 defensive tackles and a team-leading four interceptions in his senior year with the Oklahoma Sooners in 2022. He spent much of last season on the Minnesota Vikings practice roster. 

The Riders also signed American defensive end Charles Wylie. He recorded five tackles and one-and-a-half sack in a 2022 pre-season game with the Baltimore Ravens before he was released after training camp. 

Blue Jays sign Justin Turner

The Toronto Blue Jays have signed all-star DH Justin Turner to a one-year contract worth $13 million. 

Turner hit 23 home runs and drove in a career-high 96 runs with the Boston Red Sox last season. Before then, he spent nine seasons with the LA Dodgers, where he helped them win a World Series in 2020.
