Southwest amateur golfers over the age of 19 have five more days before registration closes for the ninth RBC PGA Scramble golf event coming to Swift Current in a couple of weeks.

Swift Current's Elmwood Golf Club will host the tournament for both men and women on Friday, June 14.

Cole Crawford, RBC spokesperson, notes that participants are required to sign up in a group of four and must have an up-to-date Golf Canada handicap.

"It's the largest grassroots amateur golf competition in Canada, taking place in over 170 locations," he said.

The winners will move on to the Saskatchewan Regional Finals where they'll compete for a shot to advance to the National Finals at Cabot Links Golf Course in Nova Scotia.

"It's just a great opportunity to get with your friends and community and participate in a unique experience that happens once a year in Swift Current," said Crawford.

Interested parties can register for the event online at RBC PGA Scramble's website before the deadline on June 4 with a green fee of $60.
