Human factors were likely the cause of the Harvard crash south of Moose Jaw back in January that destroyed a training plane and injured one pilot.

An initial report says a student and instructor were on a practice flight when the student did not perform a move to the instructors' satisfaction. When trying to regain control, the student did something other than what the instructor expected resulting in a loss of power.

The instructor took over and tried to perform an emergency landing but when that failed they had to eject.

The plane smashed into the ground and one pilot suffered minor injuries.

Officials say the investigation continues and they're focusing on human factors, mechanical factors, as well as training.
