The provincial government announced this week that they will be investing 10.3 million dollars into renewal projects across Saskatchewan's provincial parks system.

Over the next two years the funding will build exciting new facilities for park visitors, as well as renew some existing parks facilities.

A number of the province's provincial parks will receive funding.

In the southwest, The Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park, and Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park will both have work done.

Byron Davies is the Executive Director of Infrastructure and Capital Planning. He said, "The Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park will receive a new campground service center in the area of Night Hawk Campground, an exciting new project that will provide additional washroom and shower facilities for Night Hawk and Riverside Campgrounds. And, as well at Sask Landing we're planning a new visitor reception center and office."

Work will also be done at Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. Davies said, "It will be a complete re-development of the Pine Hill Campground. Also at Cypress Hills, under our base capital program this year we have some renovations to the Cypress Hills swimming pool building, as well as some maintenance equipment storage and fire truck storage buildings."
