It was the opening weekend of the season for both the Swift Current Stock Car Association and Swift Current Drag Racing Association.

Saturday night's Stock Car races were rained out at Kinetic Park, though Sunday afternoon brought the much anticipated return of the racing season for fans in attendance.

Weather permitting, the next races dates are set for June 15-16.
