RCMP confirm attack with a weapon during yesterdays Chaplin Street West incident

The Swift Current Municipal RCMP has released more information on yesterday's Chaplin Street West incident. 

According to an official release, the RCMP responded to a report of an assault yesterday around 10:30 a.m. 

This has resulted in Valerie Kibet being charged five times with three offences. 

One count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three counts of assault with a weapon, and one count of assault causing bodily harm.

Kibet is set for Swift Current Provincial Court on May 15, having already appeared in court earlier today. 

Swift Current Municipal RCMP extended a thank you to the members of the public who called in and provided immediate assistance during the incident.
