Cleanup is underway in the town of Cabri today after a train derailment on the Great Sandhills Railway line yesterday.

According to the town of Cabri's Facebook page, the emergency response RMA Dangerous Goods officers from Emergency Response Assistance Canada inspected the cars last night.

Upon inspection, they have determined that the means of containment is intact and the tanks are safe.

Railway Avenue from 1st Street South and 4th Street North has re-opened to traffic.

The only traffic slow down is on Highway 32 near the derailment site, as emergency crews have it down to one lane.
