Swift Current's annual fundraiser for men's health and fight against prostate cancer is set for this Saturday.

Proceeds from the motorcycle ride are received by its charity the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation, to fund prostate cancer research and awareness campaigns.

Co-chair of the local committee Curt Purves said the local ride has had tremendous support since its inception over a decade ago.

"Since 2013, we have raised $718,169 and have had 2066 riders," he said.

Kickstands go up at 10 a.m. on Saturday, leaving from the Living Sky Casino to parade through Swift Current before hitting the highway for a cruise. This year there will also be vehicles in the parade as local car clubs join in support.

Anyone who is riding is encouraged to register online for $45, as registration in person the day of the ride costs $50.

Top fundraisers so far in Swift Current for 2024 include Ed Wiebe, Steve Kornfeld and David Jessiman.
