A local charitable organization received a welcome gift this week in the form of a generous donation from a local business.

Jason Poe of JAG Projects was on hand this week to deliver the $1,000 to the local branch of Saskabilities.

The organization works with individuals who experience disabilities and do their best to support them.

Candace Toma, Community Relations Coordinator with the Swift Current office says they are grateful for the donation.

"Every dollar certainly helps but that was just such an overwhelming generous partnership that we formed with them and they have always been big supporters of Saskabilities, but to receive that kind of financial contribution at a time like this means more then I can even say."

In addition, Toma adds that the money is integral for their one-to-one service delivery to clients and will go towards their programming.

"It will go into our programming of course, as we move toward virtual programming and as we move toward more in-person supports for individuals experiencing disability. It will work to provide protective gear and other PPE for our staff and clients."

A number of businesses and individuals have donated to Saskabilities either in monetary form or services and those interested can call 1-833-526-5299 or email swiftcurrent@saskabilities.ca

Currently, Saskabilities is in the process of launching their virtual programming for the summer fun program.
