A Ponteix woman has received her sentence in the Court of Queen’s Bench in Swift Current.

39-year-old, Bernadette Ann Wensley, pled guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Murder after being taken into custody in December 2006.

Wensley cried as she told the court how she wishes she could turn back the clock and un-do her actions.

Mister Justice F.J. Kovach handed down the sentence of four and a half years, minus six months in time already served. He said the sentence is to be used as an example to deter others from a similar offence.

Co-accused in the Conspiracy, Richard Michael Jackson of British Columbia, will appear in court for a preliminary hearing at the end of April.
