In the September 2 COVID-19 update The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting two new cases of the virus in the province.

The new cases are one located in the North West and one in the South Central zones.

The location of the pending case reported on September 1 was determined to be in the North West zone.

That brings the provincial total number of cases in the province to 1,624, of which 29 are considered active.

There are 4 active cases reported in the South West zone.

There have been four more recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 1,571.

There are two people in hospital. One person is receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon and one person is in intensive care in Saskatoon.

There have been 24 deaths in the province related to COVID -19. 

To date, 142,126 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.

Yesterday there were 1,220 COVID-19 tests done.
