Another case of COVID-19 was reported in the South region of the province in the Friday edition of the Sask Health Authority's daily update.

The case is the 17th overall reported in the south region, and is now currently the second one that is active.

It's one of two new confirmed cases announced today by the SHA - the other being in the Saskatoon region.

The increase of two cases marks the seventh-consecutive day where the rise in reported cases has been three or fewer.

Another two cases have seen recoveries, keeping the province's active case total at 61.

There have now been 641 total reported cases and 570 recoveries.

As well, four people are in hospital due to the virus. Two are in the ICU in Saskatoon, with the other two receiving inpatient care - one each in Regina and Saskatoon.

There have now been 46,454 COVID-19 tests performed in Saskatchewan after an increase of 585 tests on Friday.
