A spectacular show is set to make it’s way to Swift Current later this month as southwest artist, Amanda Hagel, celebrates the release of her album, ‘Be the Light.’

The country/inspirational artist, who has been nominated for multiple Country Music Association Awards, will be taking to the stage at the Lyric Theatre on November 27, for the album celebration concert.

Hagel is enthusiastic to be performing on stage once again and has pulled out all the stops for her upcoming show.

“I've got an amazing band lined up for this, as well as really unique production,” she explained. “We're going to be bringing some digital visuals to the stage as well. I just really want to showcase the record and just celebrate the music and just have all the fans and people that have enjoyed the record this last year come and join us and just have a wonderful evening. It's going to be so great.”

Although the album was released in the spring of 2020, Hagel was required to put live shows on hold during the height of the pandemic.

‘Be the Light’ contains 10 songs dating all the way back to 2018, when her first single off the album was released.

“I released now six official singles off the record and with each release I would put out a music video and do a big promotion for each song,” she elaborated. Through the two and a half years I released a couple more songs and so it's just been kind of evolving to the point where now the full record is out.”

Hagel added that while she is overwhelmed with excitement to bring back the live music, the concert will also act as a showcase for the other creative work that has been done for this project in the last twenty years.

“It's all-encompassing,” she stated. “This whole project is a huge celebration of all that and there's a lot of work that goes into it a lot of the time. But that's my passion, that's my love. Is to create beautiful art. So, it's my privilege to do that.”

The show will also feature fellow Saskatchewan country artist, Alex Runions who features with Hagel on one of the songs on the album.

The door to the Lyric Theatre will open at 6:30 PM on November 27, with the show beginning at 7:00 PM.
