The Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to make a move in the new year.

Being a hub for local business is a main driving force for them, as they prepare to move into the Innovation Centre second floor in 2024.

Karla Wiens, CEO of the Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce, is eager to make the new space not only their own, but also welcoming for others.

"We are constantly striving to assist businesses with their challenges and overcoming barriers," said Wiens. "Especially for startups and entrepreneurs, as well as people coming from out of town. A challenge they were facing was suitable office space."

Being that they are the number one resource in Swift Current for these groups seeking advice, the new offices will allow them to become a reputable source for solutions regarding office space.

The Chamber will offer cubicle partitioned spaces for daily or weekly rentals. There will also be space for a private office space open to monthly rentals, as well as a meeting room venue, and boardroom capabilities.

The offices will give small and returning businesses a space to grow, as well as acclimate to a professional environment. "The challenge [pour clients] were faced with sometimes was not wanting to commit to long-term leasing or having that overhead for their entrepreneurial venture," said Wiens. "We also frequently get calls from people who are either travelling through or coming in from the region who are looking for a suitable place that they can conduct their business operations."

The new space being renovated for the Chamber in the Innovation Centre will provide options and potential solutions for many of these issues.

Also being made available to clients are various training resources and programs through the Chamber's regularly provided services.

"It is a very professional, cozy place that people are going to be excited to go to work in," said Wiens.

The Chamber plans to move into the new space itself in early January. As for the rentals, they will be open for booking after the final touches are completed, with no date yet announced.

In order to reach out to the Chamber to discuss the possibility of utilizing these new options, they can call the Chamber directly at 306-773-7268.
