International junior hockey is coming back to the Innovation Credit Union iPlex this November.

An announcement made today by the CHL named the six Canadian cities who will hosts games for the 2017 CIBC Canada-Russia Series. The series, which will be played November 6th - 16th, with games 1 and 2 hosted by WHL teams in southwest and southcentral Saskatchewan.

Game 1: Monday, November 6 at Moose Jaw, SK
Game 2: Tuesday, November 7 at Swift Current, SK
Game 3: Thursday, November 9 at Owen Sound, ON
Game 4: Monday, November 13 at Sudbury, ON
Game 5: Tuesday, November 14 at Charlottetown, PE
Game 6: Thursday, November 16 at Moncton, NB

Swift Current last served as a host city for the tournament in 2008, where the WHL prospects shut out the visiting Russians 5-0. The CHL ultimately defeated the Russian team 5-1 in the 6-game series, out-scoring the Soviet squad 24-13.

All-time versus team Russia, the WHL squad has been in control of the series to the tune of a 19-6-3 record. Since the event started in 2003, the Western Canada All-Stars have out-scored the Russians 113-62. Collectively, the teams from the OHL, QMJHL, and WHL have had a metaphorical stranglehold on the series. CHL teams have a 58-19-7 in the 14-year history of the series.

As for Bronco players repping their country's colours, two players in the last two years have played in the two WHL-hosted games of the series. 2015 saw Jake DeBrusk selected to the WHL all-star roster, and most recently, Artyom Minulin suited up for Team Russia in 2016 where he was held pointless in both games. Minulin will be eligible to play in this year's matchup as well, which could see the defenceman making a rare appearance on the visitors' bench while on home ice, if selected to team Russia.

For 2017's edition of the CIBC Canada-Russia Series, games will be broadcast nationwide on Sportsnet and TVA Sports.

Tickets for the November 7th matchup in Swift Current will be made available by the Broncos organization at a later date.
