In the January 11 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 412 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 412 new cases there are 33 in the Far North West zone, 9 in the Far North Central zone, 80 in the Far North East zone, 102 in the North West zone, 95 in the North Central zone, 48 in the North East zone, 142 in the Saskatoon zone, 4 in the Central West zone, 23 in the Central East zone, and 88 in the Regina zone.

There is currently 1 new case in the South West zone, 12 in the South Central zone, and 47 in the South East zone.

There are 35 new cases with pending residence information.

Twenty-one cases with pending residence information were assigned as follows - 4 to the Far North West zone, 4 to the Far North East zone, 1 to the North West zone, 8 to the North Central zone, 1 to  the North East zone, 2 to the Saskatoon zone, and 1 to the Regina zone.

That brings the provincial total number of COVID-19 cases to 18,522, of which 3,735 are considered active.

There are currently 14 active cases in the South West zone.

Also in the South West zone there is one outbreak confirmed in Swift Current at the City of Swift Current Maintenance  Department, and one outbreak confirmed at the Assiniboia Union Hospital in the South Central zone.

In non-household settings, an outbreak is confirmed when two or more people test positive for COVID-19.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 307 (25.4 new cases per 100,000 population).

Eight Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died - 4 new deaths in the 80+ age group -1 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the North West zone, 1 in the Central East zone, and 1 in the South East zone. Two new deaths in the 60-69 age group were reported in the Regina and South Central zones, 1 new death in the 50-59 age group was reported in the North Central zone, and 1 new death in the 30-39 age group was reported in the Regina zone.

That brings the provincial number of deaths in the province related to COVID-19 to 199.

There have been 162 new recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to  14,588.

There are 197 people in hospital. One hundred and sixty-six people are receiving inpatient care - 1 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North Central zone, 10 in the North West zone, 33 in the North Central zone, 11 in the North East zone, 46 in the Saskatoon, zone, 9 in the Central East zone, 44 in the Regina zone, 1 in the South Central zone, and 10 in the South East zone.

There are currently 31 people in intensive care - 1 in the North West zone, 5 in the North Central zone, 13 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central East zone, and 11 in the Regina zone.

To date there has been 454,050 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

The province is expecting 6,825 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 5,400 doses of the Moderna vaccine to arrive this week. The confirmed date of arrival and distribution locations will be announced this week.

As of January 11 a total of 8,948 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Saskatchewan.

Eight hundred and thirty-three of these doses were administered January 10 in Regina (222), Saskatoon (54), Prince Albert (117) the Far North East (234) and the North East (206) zones.

This brings the total to 2,069 doses and 1,230 second doses of Pfizer in the Regina pilot program, 2,847  Pfizer doses in Saskatoon, 613 Pfizer doses in Prince Albert, 596 Moderna doses in the Far North West zone, 124 Moderna doses in the Far North Central zone, 1,071 Moderna doses in the Far North East zone, and 388 Moderna doses in the North East zone.

Some vaccinations taking place yesterday in the province's north may not have been reported yet.
